Au programme notamment, inventaire des herbiers et des r\u00e9cifs, \u00e9tude de leur peuplement, carottage de coraux, photogramm\u00e9trie\u2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">MaCoBioS est un programme europ\u00e9en qui vise \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la biodiversit\u00e9 et les services des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes marins c\u00f4tiers dans un monde en mutation, \u00e0 mieux conna\u00eetre la mani\u00e8re dont la biodiversit\u00e9 marine fait face aux changements climatiques. Simide)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>D\u00e9terminer la structure corallienne du site<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">La mission men\u00e9e en Martinique, outre l\u2019Institut, regroupait des chercheurs de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 libre de Berlin, de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Portsmouth et de Nova Blue Environment. Les \u00e9quipes ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des suivis des communaut\u00e9s de coraux, de poissons et d&rsquo;invert\u00e9br\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de comptages visuels, d\u2019enregistrements acoustiques de la faune et de mod\u00e9lisation photogramm\u00e9trique de certains des transects \u00e9tudi\u00e9s. \u00ab\u00a0<i>L\u2019objectif, <\/i>explique le Dr R\u00e9my Simide<i>, \u00e9tant de pouvoir d\u00e9terminer la complexit\u00e9 et la structure corallienne du site<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Inventorier les herbiers<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Les herbiers, en lien avec les r\u00e9cifs coralliens, ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 inventori\u00e9s, ainsi que leurs peuplements de poissons et d\u2019invert\u00e9br\u00e9s, l\u00e0 aussi notamment \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019hydrophones. \u00ab\u00a0<i>Mais au-del\u00e0 d\u2019un simple inventaire, <\/i>pr\u00e9cise le chercheur<i>, nous avons \u00e9galement pris des mesures de qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019herbier, tels que sa densit\u00e9 et les esp\u00e8ces qui le composent et effectu\u00e9 des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements de s\u00e9diments et des carottages. Ils nous permettront entre autres d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer la s\u00e9questration carbone de l\u2019herbier.<\/i>\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Mener une \u00e9tude pal\u00e9oclimatique des coraux<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">L\u2019\u00e9quipe de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 libre de Berlin, quant \u00e0 elle, a effectu\u00e9 des carottages sur les coraux, dans le cadre d\u2019une \u00e9tude pal\u00e9oclimatique : le but de l\u2019\u00e9quipe allemande est d&rsquo;analyser la croissance et la chimie des coraux, une analyse qui permettra de reconstituer les modifications du ruissellement terrestre dans le r\u00e9cif au fil du temps, en lien avec le changement d&rsquo;utilisation des terres environnantes.
