Launch of the Côte d’Azur Fisheries and Aquaculture Local Action Group (FLAG)

Modified on : 27 May 2025

On March 5, 2025 around thirty partners gathered for the launch meeting of the Côte d’Azur FLAG: a collective initiative resulting from public and private sector partnerships in support of a sustainable blue economy, hosted by Paul Ricard Oceanographic Institute.

The event was an opportunity to approve the members of the project selection committee and to mention the first projects that will be developed in the area.

This initiative is one of the key priorities of the EMFAF (European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund), which particularly supports small-scale coastal fisheries and promotes the development of aquaculture.

As in the 2014–2020 programming period, management of the EMFAF is shared between the State and the Regions. This is the third local development program, and for the first time, the Alpes-Maritimes area will be covered.

Stay tuned to discover the actions of the Paul Ricard Oceanographic Institute in the field of aquaculture!
