TAKE OFF : a first student at the Institute

On January 23rd, Patricia Ricard, with some members of the Institute’s staff, welcomed to the island of Les Embiez the first Korean student, accompanied by the Dean of the Korea Maritime and Ocean University.

Patricia Ricard and Robert Bunet welcome Jin-Woo Lee and Yun-Hae Kim at Fort Saint-Pierre

Jin-Woo Lee, a PhD student in materials sciences, will be working with Dr Robert Bunet within the framework of the Institute’s research programme focused on combatting biofouling.

He will have the opportunity during his stay to visit the MAPIEM laboratory (University of Toulon, Laboratoire Matériaux Polymères Interfaces Environnement Marin - Marine Environment Polymer Materials Interfaces Laboratory ) within the framework of the Institute’s research programme led by Dr Robert Bunet, focused on combatting biofouling, in collaboration with this University of Toulon laboratory .

A part of the scientific patronage programme Take Ocean For Future

This sponsorship research internship is part of the scientific patronage programme Take OFF, Take Ocean For Future, launched last June. The aim is to support young researchers working for the benefit of the oceans throughout the world, and to continue to build awareness.
